The Camino de Santiago, the “Way of St. James” has many routes (Francis, Portugal, Primitivo, and del Norte to name a few) which all lead to the same place, the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela where the shrine of Saint James the Great is located in the cathedral itself.
The Camino will challenge you, inspire you, heal you, and even bring you new friends and experiences never imagined. Whatever season you want to walk you are sure to be forever changed along the way!
The “Shell”, or really the Scallop, can be found along the way to Santiago de Compostela. The shell which you will see along the Camino is a reminder of where you are going.
The Tomb of St. James, the resting place of his body around 44 AD, lies in the Cathedral of Santiago. The shell is something that you will carry with you along the Camino as a sign, a sign that you are walking the Way of St. James. We invite you to join the journey and dive into the Camino and all that it will bring you along the way.
